- Drakkisath: Drekkisath
- Durnholde: Durnhold
- Dwarves: Dwarfs
- According to the American Heritage Dictionary "Dwarves" and "Dwarfs" are both proper pluralizations of "Dwarf". However, since Tolkein popularized it in Lord of the Rings, "dwarves" has become the go-to usage for fantasy settings, and Blizzard uses that spelling in its official materials.
- Enchanter: "chanters" wear bloomers, flail pom-poms, or wield a bullhorn, and repetitively shout rhymes and phrases for inspirational or informative purposes. (see also: Summoner) If you can't type out those two extra little letters, you're a lazy pugging noob scrub. Adding an apostrophe ie. " 'chanter " is pushing it.

- Highborne: Highbourne, Highborn
- Highborn is the proper spelling in English; the standard Warcraft spelling is highborne. '-borne' usually means 'held up or supported' whereas '-born' usually indicates origin or birth. This suggests the Highborne elves received that name because they were held in high regard by their society, possibly due to their magical abilities, rather than inheriting the class at birth.

- Horde: Hord
- Infernal: Infernel

- Like the word "marauder", which the local centaur often are.

- Rouge means red in French, or a type of makeup usually applied to the cheeks in English. Call a rogue "rouge" and you may be receiving some all-natural red makeup of your very own.

- Shaman: Shamen
- The plural of shaman is shamans. See Shaman Spelling.
